In a different thread someone said something about starting a firetoddlickliter.com website. Out of curiosity i checked to see if that site already existed. firelickliter.com is for sale for $500 and firetoddlickliter.com is available.

Whats interesting is that firegarybarta.com, firekirkferentz.com and firelisabluder.com direct you to hawkeyesports.com. I think its weird that the university has purchased the "fire" sites for those 3 but not Lickliter.

This is the kind of stuff i discover when the winter olympics are on boring me to death

I believe the U of I purchases them in order to keep bad publicity away from their coaches...

Now that there's a post drawing attention to them my guess is addressing these two sites will get on someone's to-do list today.

There are billions of domains available.

Just be original - you could do a firelick.com, firetodd.com, etc... whatever you want. The URL really is insignificant. It's the marketing of it.

(I'm not condoning it, but let's honest, you can't buy them all up).

I agree - thats why i think its kindve weird that the University would even hassle buying any of them. Especially firelisabluder.com. I find it hard to believe that anyone cares enough about womens bball to start that site up.

It is strange that they would buy up the site because no one cares about those idiotic "fire[whomever].com" anymore.

It was fresh the first time it happened, like 8 years ago. Every single time thereafter, it has been lame and no one cares.
