Ingram to decide tomorrow

"North Central guard Patrick Ingram (2012) will make his college decision at 4 p.m. Wednesday at NC. Iowa, Loyola (Ill.) or Saint Louis."

Actually, STL has been on Ingram for a long time.. not sure if it helps them a ton, but its always a factor. And being where Iowa has been, anything can happen in the recruiting game.

Why would this be a big deal if he DOESN'T choose Iowa when his offers aren't that great? Better guards we are after anyway. Of course would be great to get a recruit in an Iowa jersey but not going to get worked up if not. Catch 22 is losing recruiting battles with lesser programs is bad PR but we got Gesell already so don't get how we lose to Loyola then beat Stanford for a recruit. I would understand his reasons to St. Louis (recruiting longest/hardest, Majeras) and Loyola (Cully negative influence toward Iowa, AAU buddy on team) more than Iowa though, we just are in a better conference but not necessarily a better program.

I don't really know how good he is from a few clips. But he does seem to be a good complimentary player to MG. Seems more of a scorer than shooter.

Really good slasher, can play above the rim, athletic.
We needs these sort of players. Not a make it or break it recruit, but will fit the schemes very well.

That's what I was hearing over the summer.

This part does have video evidence btw. Dude can dunk, in case anyone questioned his ability to finish above the rim.

I've heard that from several people. He is more athletic than what show on video highlight clips. Fran and the guys are high on him, might not make an immediate impact, but he has a lot of natural talent.

I've seen this kid talked about a lot lately, but these are the first two videos that I've seen. Perhaps not an elite recruit, but certainly not a guy that I'd be turning my nose up at. If the kid's rep is that he isn't a great shooter, that almost has to be what's keeping the better offers from coming, because he's got great athleticism, and a good knack for scoring in the paint.

"Still what Ingram is known for is his above the rim finishing.

While offensive Ingram can be exciting, defensively is where he made the play of the game. With the ultra athletic Patterson going up for a layup in transition, Ingram tracked him down and met him above the rim for the block. The block in essence ended any hope Indiana Elite-ONE had of winning the game."

That quote has gotten me excited about him. Hopefully he chooses the Hawks tomorrow.

The video I watched of him wasn't really impressive, just a bunch of layups but then again I'm not a scout! I hope he works out if he decides to come here!
