Ingram-Name an IA player like him

+1

(hopefully a better free throw shooter.)

Yea no kidding.. Have you ever seen Moore play in the PTL? The guy is a strait up baller still. He can shoot better now in that setting anyway better then he ever did during his college days. He's still a heck of an athlete

With that athletic ability I sure hope he likes to play defense.

There's a replay of the Indiana JR. vs. SR. All-Star I watched- which I wouldn't recommend doing- and he does come across as a guy who enjoys playing some D. I'll provide the link, but it really isn't worth anyone's time.

I don't like the May comparison at all, Ingram is stronger with the ball and much, much quicker with the ball. May can run and jump, but he really slows down when he has to handle it, Ingram is quick and choppy- almost more like a football player than a smooth basketball player.

I thought I heard Fran say at an I-club event that Ingram wont be playing in the PTL. Does anyone know why?

Ingram wanted to play in a couple of Indiana All-Star games. After talking with McCaffery, Fran encouraged him to stay in Indiana for the summer- he is also competing in an Indianapolis summer league, which I believe provides some good talent to play against.

I will reserve judgement on Ingram til he gets on the court for Iowa...maybe he can be a glue guy, but I have doubts about his tweener size. I would be surprised if he was as good as Eric May(All Big Ten Frosh team) as a frosh.

he could be twice as good as May was as a freshman and still not make the all freshmen team because unlike May, he actually has a team around him

I can't put my finger on a comparison, but I think I <3 him already...holy crap! As for his "tweener size"...if this whole "basketball thing" doesn't work out for him, I'd LOVE to see him play FS for Kirk and Co.!

He certainly looks like he will fit into Frans plan as well as any of the other incoming recruits. He and Meyer get the least amount of attention and acclaim, but I have a strong feeling they will contribute significantly.....

Last season some of the experts said that the Hawks had the best transition team in the Big Ten at one point in time. Next year it might be a bit longer than a point in time. These guys can run and gun at top speed.....

It's all good.....

Anyone can get all freshman team by simply being one the court if they have no one to compete with for playing time.

Patrick Ingram is clearly better than May, which is really saying nothing, and it shouldn't take anyone with any ability to evaluate basketball more than a few seconds with the ball in his hands to see that.
