I'll throw out 1999....KF's overall record vs Indy is......
7-4, including that memorable loss at home in 2007.

And just for the jab of it, hands down, the Indiana FB experience is *the* worst in the B1G. (And I've been to all the venues excluding the two new ones).

Um, can you find some highlights from the 2006 and 2007 games. Man, those were awesome. I really lieked that play where Kellen Lewis ran that fumble liek 70 yards for a TD en route to a rout at Kinnick. Ugh. We're gonna get rolled.

I did the analysis - something like 28% of Hardy's career stats came against Iowa. That draft day when they showed liek 6 plays, five of them were against Iowa and The Glove.

It's a darn good thing no Iowa player or ex-player has ever been arrested. Look at this clown whose kid played at Illinois - this is the dad and the idiot got arrested a bunch of times AND HE'S NOT EVEN A PLAYER. #WHATAMORON

Completely disagree. Had a great time tailgating there on a miserable day for weather in 2012. Certainly a far better atmosphere than Northwestern, and it's not even close. I would put them ahead of Illinois and Minnesota as well. A very underrated gameday environment.
The problem is that a lot of the folks that party outside of the stadium don't actually make it inside to watch their crappy team, although they are showing announced attendance figures better than at least 3 other league schools this year (NW, Ill, PU).

When I say "total FB experience" I include everything, not just tailgating. My three times in Bloomington I saw: 60% full stadium, little tradition other than 'break the rock', quiet crowd, parking lot next to stadium is gravel (worse than most high schools), selling tickets out of the athletic office outlets right up to kickoff, amateur announcer ("and that's *another* Indiana first down"), no bars near the stadium, uncontrolled environment (you can leave, re-enter, leave, re-enter), on and on.
NW...love it. Have found awesome parties before and after. Stadium is small, true, but always been full when I've been there. Quaint and cozy. Maybe I'm crazed, but I've always enjoyed the NW atmosphere. Easy to get there via train, beautiful area around the stadium, bars within walking distance. One of my favorites.
ILL: Again, I found great tailgate experiences. Stadium is a bit dumpy, but was always full and the students are totally into it. Crappy town, but didn't spend much time in the actual town. Certainly better my 4 times there than my 3 times in Bloomington.
MN: Had a hell of a tailgate in the state fairgrounds parking lot. Easy bus ride to stadium. Good crowd control, fans were loud and voracious. Again, I take the entire experience into account, not just the booze beforehand.
Indiana FB experience blows. The highlighted portion of your statement says it all.

How much of this accounts to them being a basketball school for so long? In this day and age, what you just described seems ridiculous for any Big 10 team. With how much money the conference is making it's even more ridiculous imo.

Ahhhh I remember that game. Even though Rick had 5 interceptions I didn't feel like we were going to lose. Seemed like all the games had 2nd half/4th quarter come backs. Thank goodness for a great defense. And Brandon Wegher. What a good RB, huh?

Of course NW always has a full stadium when Iowa plays there. Gee, I wonder why that is? It's pretty dumb to give them and their "atmosphere" credit for a full house when 75%-80% of the crowed is there for the visiting team. The stadium is a dump (it makes Trice look like a big-time stadium), it ALWAYS freaking rains when Iowa is there, and bars and a train are not things that make a college football game experience enjoyable. Oh yeah, and the seats that they give to the visiting team are an abomination. NW gets an F- and is orders of magnitude worse than any place else in the B1G.
As for Illinois, it was absolutely DEAD the time I was there (early-Zooker era), and I'm going again this year and guarantee it will be dead again. Since they've literally never been good at football for more than a season here and there, you're going to have to do a hell of a lot or persuading to convince me that it's ever been any different.
I was at Purdue this past weekend and it was a freaking MORGUE. Indiana is currently outdrawing the three previous schools in attendance, so your assertion that they are "hands down" the worst football atmosphere in the B1G is complete and utter nonsense.
Indiana and Purdue have nice campuses, but football atmospheres are brutal
Not sure what is worse:
Indiana - "and that's another Indiana 'first down' " and the fans acting, as if they are milking of a cow, when they get a first down.
Purdue - with the horn (train whistle) and the "Boiler Up".

Indiana, by far, is the worst FB venue, all things considered, in the B1G.

Last time we played at jNW the entire visitors section in the end zone was told to sit down or else we would be kicked out. They had 20 or so cops and security there so they weren't kidding. Unbelievable. What a joke. I did enjoy the tailgating there and thought the game day experience was fun but having an entire section told they can't stand is Illinois Nazi stuff. And I hate Illinois Nazis.
