I have posted from time to time that maybe Iowa should look to move on from McCaffrey
4 tournament wins in 15 years including those powerhouses Temple Davidson and Grand Canyon. Cincinnati the 4th?
Of course I’m including this year as it appears unlikely we make it to the big dance
Some of the posters took issue as they legitimately suggested he ran a clean program (after he got over throwing chairs) and a new hire could be worse! That objection seems to lost validity as we are headed right to the bottom. And now a couple of posters are hesitant as they think he has some recruiting that will make a difference. Really??
Fran would not have lasted 5 years at a school like Indiana and I don’t think would still be coaching at any other Big Ten school
Iowa can not continue to see erosion of support and escalation of Apathy.
McCaffrey has done some decent things at Iowa and Iowa has been very very good to him
We may not find the answer but then again maybe there is another Lute Olsen Out there. It is easier to turn it around in basketball than football. Lute did it with one player Ronnie Lester and good coaching
Hopefully Fran dies the right thing and retire
