Nebraska handled PSU pretty handily at home,and lost by only 5 to the Badgers up in Madison on the weekend.
I am sure the Hoosiers will take little solace in winning the stat sheet battle.

And where did I say they would? I couldn't give two sh*ts about how Indiana and their fans handle the loss. Nebraska has been pretty bad all year, and their win tonight doesn't change that. Because it was a total fluke; you rarely win games where you get owned like that statistically.

If IU continues their slide and loses in the 1st round of the NCAAs, it would not surprise me to see Steve Alford coaching in IU next year.

No way. Crean has a top 3 recruiting class coming next year,and already has some top 30 recruits for 2013. IU fans will never lose sight of that recruiting prowess and upset the apple cart now.
Crean has at least 8 more years on his deal and it would cost probably 15-20 million to fire him.

Really? They have hired 2 coaches in about 6 years and I dont think Alford has even been interviewed either time for the job. What makes you think this?

Crean has recruited very well in his time at Indiana but has had terrible luck with injuries to his guys. If they make the tourney, which they more than likely will, he will for sure be back next year.
