Indiana and Nebraska tied with 11 sec to go...

The announcers were saying "Indiana looking to put Nebraska away" and this was in the first half!

Pretty sure this was a fluke, though they clearly aren't a gimme. Indiana shot 51% from the floor. Nebraska shot 37%. Indiana held the advantage from beyond the arc (44.4% to 33.3%), out rebounded the Huskers, and still lost.

Big time fluke if there ever was one.

IU up 11 with 6 minutes to go. No lead is safe, especially on the road. Iowa was up 11 last nite at Purdue...poof..gone.
This is what does concern me a bit about the Hawks and their fans. The tough 7 games opening stretch is over, and both parties might exhale, thinking the worst is over...its not. Now,with games vs Neb,NW,PSU,ect...there is a different kind of pressure...the pressure of expectations. Losing by 30 to MSU looks the same in the record book as losing by one to PSU,Neb or NW. Iowa can lose to all the remaining teams on our schedule...the margin for error is razor thin. One player gets hurt, or you miss the front end of a one and one like usually reliable shooter Hull did, and doom!

This was great to see IU and Crean's road woes continue. He is now 2-29 on the road in the league since arriving at IU 4 years ago. Fran has 3 road wins in 1.5 years.

Sorry, I do not believe in fluke road losses in this league. Fluke road wins? yes.
This is the movie called ''The Road'' and it is dark, gloomy, scary and wretched. It is also called The Big Ten Road.

If IU continues their slide and loses in the 1st round of the NCAAs, it would not surprise me to see Steve Alford coaching in IU next year.

I Feel iowa will split the two games against NEB. And I'm afraid they'll get us at home... I hope not though, NEB is horrible.

Indiana is a good team, but I think has gotten caught up in their own hype a little bit.
This just in Zeller isn't the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Nebraska was 0-5 in the conference and looked awful getting there. They didn't play particularly well tonight, either. Even in highly competitive conferences, you won't often see the kind of bizarro-stats that we did tonight. Having an off shooting night or something like that on the road is something I expect to see in the Big Ten, or any major conference. But dominating your opponent in nearly every major aspect and still losing? That doesn't happen very often.

For example, look at our upset of Purdue last March.

FG%: IOWA 43.3% PURDUE 36.2%
3P%: IOWA 30% PURDUE 20%
Rebounds: IOWA 47 (12 offensive) PURDUE 32 (10 offensive)
FT%: IOWA 63.2% PURDUE 58.8%
Asst: IOWA 15 PURDUE 13

THAT is the kind of stat line I would expect to see when a top team gets upset on the road by a cellar dweller in the Big Ten. Nebraska/Indiana was the exact opposite.

Zeller is legit but for some inexplicable reason they tend to go away from him. That guy can score on any of the bigs at will but they let that little pipsqueak of a PG dribble it all over the court for days before they run any set offense.

Nebraska handled PSU pretty handily at home, and lost by only 5 to the Badgers up in Madison on the weekend.
I am sure the Hoosiers will take little solace in winning the stat sheet battle.
