Incredible!!! Hawks win, in finals!!!

Bottom of the ninth, Oregon batting, bases loaded, no outs. Hawks get out of it and then win in 11 innings, 2-1 over the Oregon ducks. We play Mo. St in the finals, but must win 2!!! Way to go, Hawkeyes!!!

hawks are not a high scoring bunch but maybe the pitching will dominate. I watched saturday nite and in the 4th and 5th when they gave up the 5 runs and the pitchers were just nibbling too much .

I hope we get some guys that can hit the Ball. We had plenty of chances to win,not enough discipline at the plate. Very frustrating to watch when we're up to bat. We had great defense with very good pitching just not enough offense. Good season that could of been Great Season,good luck next year.

Back in college (early 1980s) I had a roommate from Toronto. He made the perfect observation: When on TV, the first inning of a baseball takes almost as long as the other eight innings.

That's how I feel about watching baseball when I have no interest in either team.

although I agree baseball is boring and slow, I am confused by your comment. 1 inning is not as long as the other 8.
