Impressed with Clemmons, but that's my only positive for the day

clemmons was our only player quickness enough to play against any of those guards.

On the foul that took him out the first half for a long time he made a good play forced burke into a horrible shot and that ******* bald headed ref called a phantom foul.

I would say our start of the game was a positive. Although it was fairly brief. Wonder if we set some kind of record for "Most Dunks Allowed"?

I thought Clemmons did alright I suppose. Impressed with isn't how I'd describe it. The lack of defensive intensity after the first 10 mins of that game was incredible. I give Michigan credit they never let off the gas. After the first 10 mins or so if you would have bet me that game turns into a 30 pt loss I'd have lost the farm. I thought we matched up fairly well and were able to get good looks on O. I figured if we shot a decent percentage we'd be in it. Michigan got some big time momentum after the last 4 min dead ball going into the half and they just never let up.

we have and above avg freshman backcourt, clemmons makes some great plays but forces into some mistakes,

gesell is a smart player that makes good plays

I think they are both very positive and will only get better. if we get recruits who can put these two on the bench then that is all the better

A number of players on the Michigan team will never see their junior year in college; certainly not their senior year! And, NO disrespect intended, but Roy Devyn is not an NBA prospect at this point...probably never.

Sorry for being so disrespectful of Marble in an earlier thread... He tried to be a team player against Mechigan.

Still, IMO, he's Roy Devyn - Allen Iverson - Marble Jr, and nope, IMO, he doesn't have pro potential, yet.

Call me crazy but I am not discouraged by iowa's performance yesterday. They played better on offense than vs IU. Michigan is the most talented offensive team in the country. They have at least 5-6 players who are NBA bound, and are more talented at every position than the Hawks....Burke,Hardaway,Robinson,Stauskus,McGary and even LaVert are better offensively than their counterparts on Iowa. All of the above can shoot the three, and drive to the hoop better than the Hawks.
If Michigan keeps playing like this, they will win the Big Ten,and the National Title.
So, I keep perspective on Iowa's performance. Gesell, Woody,Clemmons,Devyn and Gabe all played reasonably well. If we had played like this vs IU,we win that game.

So, moving on, there will be no moral victories vs MSU or the rest of the way for that matter. We must win vs MSU,and the rest of our home games...if we are serious about the Big Dance.

Well, Um beat us by not quite as bad as Slippery Rock. Bout the same as Eastern Michigan.

Ok, you are crazy.

humm.. they are pretty different players at this point.

I don't know how you can say Woodbury is better. I guess it depends in what you want out of a player.

I hate McGary with a passion but he was the better player in that game. He is a big body that has some touch on his shot and some nice hops. Woody is a huge body with touch inside with either hand, but that's about it currently.

Woodbury is better than McGary.

I don't think so. McGary is 20, and Adam turns 19 next week. McGary went to prep school for a season and had an extra year of physical development. He's a solid 250 and moves great. Amazing young player, and has the benefit of sitting behind an upperclassman.
