I'm so proud...

that my 1st string offense was finally able to end 17 quarters of futility against Iowa's 3rd stringers!

Stay classy ISU. Looks like they do believe in moral victories.

Actually, in one regard I'm glad the streak ended. After a while that could take a toll on the defense making them think that the object of the game was to keep ISU out of the endzone instead of just keeping them from winning.

Weren't you the poster who was yapping about being so "worried" about the ISU game?

Yes Homer, I was. The ISU game will always scare the **** out of me until we start rattling off a Fry like win streak. We have seen in the past where "better" Iowa teams have been bitten by ISU. With that said, I still think it was weak sauce that ISU felt so compelled to break the TDless streak that they had to leave in their 1st teamers when Iowa took their foot off of the throttle.

Wait...Wait...Wait! listen to me, I'm so proud!! LOL, I can see the clones gathering around CPR after the game proclaiming a moral victory.

We were walking back to tailgate after the game and overheard a couple of clones stating the Hawks were starting to show fatigue and if ia st had more time, they would control the game.

The clones were student age and had no clue that the Hawks had 3 and 4th stringers in the game. :)

It was a charity TD. Sent the fat girl home with some dignity after being used and abused.

Really guys, are you seriously going to do this. Were they suspost to just stop trying after a while. I mean i dont like the clones any more then you do, well probally more then you do but anyway. It not like they should be like. Ok this is hopeless lets just pack it up at the end of the 3rd. I mean you could of stopped them if this streak was that important to the iowa team.

I applaud them actually. The way our starters man handled theirs I was actually glad to see our reserves up against their first string. I'd rather see them against a first string than against scrubs. But truthfully it's nothing more than a moral victory for ISU to find the end zone and honestly nothing to really be proud of.

See that is the thing you will notice about the Big Ten, the coaches have class (well most anyway), KF could have put the 1st string back in and kept the streak going or hung 60 on the clones but he isn't like that.

Spot on. I found it even more interesting that Rhoads led off his post-game news conference by focusing on the one touchdown his team notched against our backups.

Sort of makes me wish Kirk would have brought his starters back in but we all know Kirk is not like that :)

I thought that was odd as well. I know that he was upset about what had just happened to his team, but to basically tell the media to **** off was a bit odd.

I'd bet if he had to do it over again, he probably would have pulled Arnaud sometime in the third quarter. Risking injury to score a meaningless touchdown in the final two minutes against 3rd stringers and walk-ons seems like a pretty dumb move.
