I'm not angry, just depressed now

That was one of the most embarrassing losses I've ever witnessed as a Hawk fan. I wouldn't put it ahead of the Western Mich loss, but it's a close second.

The worst part is that it wasn't a total turd like last year. I actually saw fight in our team and Coker was a beast all day. We just played like hot garbage at the worst possible times, and we're not real good to begin with.

I was pretty ****** earlier. Now I'm coming down to the reality that we're really just a below average football team. And I don't think we're going to be much better in the near future, either the rest of this year or next year.

The real depressing thought is that this truly might be the beginning of the end of the Ferentz era. If so, it likely means that Iowa football is going to cycle down for a while before it can come back up. Not looking forward to 3-4 years of futility if that's the case, and there's the possibility of a longer downturn than that.

I'm holding out hope that the staff can turn things around, start getting the most out of the talent we have, and find more diamonds in the rough like they've done in the past. Otherwise, it's going to be a dark future for us fans for a while.

I think you are right...this is the end of the KF era. He has pi$$ed everything he built up down his leg because of unwillingness or inability to adapt and change.

Yet there will be nothing Iowa can do because they certainly are not going to be able to buy out a contract anytime soon at $4,000,000 a year. So he can run the program into the ground and there will be nothing Iowa can do about it...simply nothing. And don't kid yourself, he is not about to change anything...absolutely nothing. So as Iowa falls, we are going to fall hard...very hard indeed.

It will really start next week in Michigan. With an improved Michigan defense and our vanilla play calling, we will have a difficult time scoring and Michigan might put 60 on this defense. Hell Michigan might get more than 600 yards against this hapless Iowa team and hapless coaching staff.

Here we Iowa fans scoffed when the media kept saying that is was a scam to be paying Ferentz that much money when he had little to show for it. Guess they were right all along. Guess the joke is on us.

If KF had a technical or engineering degree, he'd be a more successful coach
But since he has a "soft" humanities degree, he's a rotten LOSER
