Illini shed dead weight...3 leave.

For Illinois this was going to happen whether Groce pushed them out or not. Ibby was not B1G material and would never have seen the court. Langford was a guy who Weber took a flyer on and has been unable to beat out anybody since he has been there.
Shaw is the interesting one. For me, he is a prime candidate for a MVC program. He was vastly overrated coming out of high school and as bad as Illinois needed rebounding this year he saw almost zero playing time. When he did he was over matched athletically and had hands of stone. Really surprised by that as he was highly touted.
Illinois feels real good about Cliff Alexander and is making up ground on Okafor, they made JaQuan Lyle's final list and Leron Black is leaning Illinois. Sure, recruiting a player is different than signing the player, but it looks like Groce is still the same recruiter he was at Ohio St. We'll see.

Iowa fans said the exact same thing when Scotty, Allen, and White left after last year. And that same record included more top 100 teams and some road/neutral victories. Not all schedules/wins are created equal. Surprised this needed said considering iowa fans have been trumpeting this all year.

Southern, Ala A&M, Campbell, North Car. A&T, BYU, UNO, Drake, UMKC, Yale, Fla. Gulf Coast. Damn near a "who's who" of college basketball there.

I guess ISU also played Iowa, Cinci, and UNLV. Problem is, they lost to them all.

Road neutral victories? You mean Drake and Oklahoma?
