When part of your recruiting strategy earlier in the process is to tell prospects to take their time and you encourage them to explore and visit other programs you open yourself up to those that take a much different approach to the selling process.
Not uncommon in the business world to see some sales people who have a trait of developing a friendly relationship with their prospects but they never seem to be able to sell them anything...........many prospects need (or want) to be closed, not just presented with info. I see elements of this with all the positive comments from IC visitors as well as the few that actually commit during Iowa visits and that includes last year's big visitor weekends with the MI and PSU games in IC.
I guess it's all about the "fit" in Kirk's culture. If the prospect doesn't want us over others than it must not be a "fit".
