So you were reading that as literal? Lol. You're even denser than I imagined. It was dripping with sarcasm--I thought everyone understood this. Of course Wirfs and Jackson didn't go down. The point is, excuses are made for the very winnable losses regardless of year/situation.

I get what you were doing. People do it all the time. It's like there isn't enough real stuff around to bitch about, we have to inject made up stuff into the argument. Sorry, but it's something that does set me off. People start throwing fictitious stuff into arguments, than the next thing you know they start insisting it's real.

I’m happy to see Iowa players end up getting paid, but only because it’s a recruiting tool. Who cares how many Iowa players are in the NFL unless it transfers into more W’s on Saturdays. Having a few lineman on practice squads is meaningless, winning big ten west titles is what matters.
