Perhaps. Time will tell. That kid will have to find out where the weight room is along with the dining hall for a year or so first. I think we were after him as a corner though.. That said I agree with you MN is going to be a pain in our ass recruiting wise going forward.

Anybody remember what Matt Vandeberg looked like when he played as a freshman and he was going over the middle. He was thin.

Oh yeah. He's still not exactly a ripped up body builder. But noticeably bigger then he was. He was still pretty darn good for as slight as he was right out of the box.

His distant cousin queen latifah is a rutgers alumna. i guess the hawkeye staff performed u.n.i.t.y. during their in house visit.

I see Fleck having a degree of success, much like Jerry Kill, even making it to Indy. But after that happens his sights will be much higher.

Honestly, I think Fleck will be a bigger pain for Wisconsin and Michigan State than Iowa. Having coached at Western Michigan he is no doubt very familiar with that area. He will have a hard time coming in to Iowa and pulling anyone out of state. The biggest names we've had that didn't stay in state all went to big time programs (Ross P to Alabama; Arrington, Darboh and now Martin to Michigan; French to Oregon or wherever he went). We also already have a lot of ties in Illinois so he will have trouble gaining a foothold there I believe.

Almost cringed every time he caught a ball over the middle. Very durable for what he was doing and as light as he was and still is.
