If You won the Powerball?

would you donate to the university and pay for Ferentz Buyout? or donate to try to influence coordinator changes?

If I won, I'd buy Greg Davis a huge house, and make him sign a contract that he'd have to live in that house and not leave the house other than to go to the grocery store or a date night with his wife.

Oh, and the house would be in Brazil.

None of the above. Barta is the bone head that came up with the contract, let him buy it out.

If I won Powerball, I'd donate a huge sum under the condition that Kurt gets an extension. I simply respect the way he has mega-trolled all of you, and would like to see it continue.

I would donate a shitton of money to the university ONLY if the stadium is renamed Greg Davis stadium.

One of the winners is a Royals fan-

...then I would be a statistical anomaly of gross proportions. Playing the lottery is a pastime for saps and stupid people who don't see a problem with the government using individuals' weaknesses to blackmail them into handing over their hard earned money.

False. A big chunk of lotto money is government checks. Same with the casinos and Wal-Mart's revenues.

Anyway, if I won, I would drive straight from Springfield to Champagne, IL and give them $30 million on the condition that they lure Ferentz away from Iowa with a pricy, long term deal. Then, Iowa wouldn't have to pay the buyout itself and get the reputation for firing legendary coaches and Illinois football would be guaranteed of another decade of suckage.

Not sure what this has to do with what I posted...

Blackmail?

Does that word mean something different in Ohio than it does in civilized society?

You implied that money spent on lottery tickets was hard earned. That is simply false. Some of it is, but these lumpenproles who routinely play the lottery are often on government assistance, with their money earned by filling out a few forms. The middle class money doesn't stampede into the lottery until the expected payout is roughly on par with the investment times odds of winning and that is when you see the payouts just explode. Spending a dollar or two for a 1:175 million chance to win $500 million is actually a decent investment and the fantasy utility is very high, as evidenced by threads like this one. The lottery and casinos are just ways for local governments to skim backdoor payoffs of tax dollars from the federal government. The money was hard earned, but not by the idiot gambling.
