I posted opinions about the potential rankings this morning that were pessimistic and pointed out that PSU had only beaten Iowa, and OSU hasn't beaten anyone, so they are paper tigers. I don't know if that qualifies, as fully negative, but it keeps mange from expecting to win out.

I really enjoyed watching the game twice though - seeing OSU get blown out by the Hawkeyes in the best overall performance in my lifetime is something I'll think about for the rest of my life!

I'm still down on Iowa due to the loss to NW, and afraid of the possible long-term consequences of two top 25 teams in a state of 4 million people.

I don't think kirk called that - or it might have been an option to the punter - on TV you could see he said something to the effect "what where you doing" to the punter

The fake punt was not called. I assume he must have the green light to go if he knows he can make it. I don't blame the kid for thinking he could because there was only one person who could have stopped him and there were 3 hawks in the way of that one player. The only problem was, all 3 guys ran right past him because they were trying to cover for a return. If one of the three guys blocks him, he probably runs for 30 yards. Kirk was probably annoyed because there was no need to try because of the score. It gave the look of running it up which Kirk hates.

Start of the 2nd half I was kinda negative, starting on, what, the 6 year line? My worst fear was going 3 and out and then giving Ohio State great field position, which happened.
