Ups and downs, to a point, are bound to be part of any program and should be expected. Lots of things can happen to affect a team/program - most are bad.
That said, though, with pretty much any of the coaches mentioned, we would have very few, if any, sub-.500 seasons. Our down seasons should, most likely, be around 7-8 wins.
In today's recruiting world, I don't really believe much in the "little 'ol Iowa" myth. With all of the TV and internet, it isn't like Iowa is unknown. Players follow success. If Iowa were to start showing the consistent success that Alabama, Ohio State, etc have shown, 4* and 5* players would be flocking here.
