Sick to my stomach about last night, tired of tough losses and have no excuses. We have to continue to work hard and be better coaches.

Yeah, every once in a while a message is about Iowa basketball. Usually it's about something like NASCAR or rock bands. Jan Jensen, women's assistant, talks about her recruiting trips and such; a bit more interesting.

I'm sick to my stomach that we've had ONE NCAA win in the past 11 seasons. March Madness indeed...

Please give Lick some time. Remember what happened the last time when all the fair weather fans ran off our coach? We had a classy, stand-up guy who was the winningest coach in the history of the Big Ten Tournament and the program has gone downhill since then. But Lick is also a stand-up guy and just needs time to get the athletes in his system to make it successful. If at the mid point of the 2011-2012 season, things still look bleak, let the guy go, but given the current condition of the team (which is the result of fair weather fans running Alford and the defections/recruiting hit caused by the changing of the guard) there is no one we could get now who would have the Hawks in a materially better spot in the next few years. Help is on the way with the recruits coming in, just give Lick some more time.

If we wait until the 2011-2012 season, Carver will look like a class 1A basketball gym (which it isn't too far off right now). That is what is going to be his biggest problem, he's lost most of the fans already. Really, how much time does a guy get, we are in the worst 3 year stretch of Iowa basketball EVER!!!

More time? Really? Three years is not enough? And, take into consideration Year No. 3 is worse than Year No. 1 Lick made this bed. These are his players. This is his baby now ... Not Boy Wonder's doings ... I was convinced Barta would give Lick one more year but honestly, I don't know how he can afford to keep him ... 70 percent of the Iowa bball fan base has already turned away ... Bringing Lick back for another season is only going to frustrate more fans ... The problem will get worse before it gets better ... This ship is off course and Lick is leading it right into the rocks ...
