Have you ever seen Stanzi give up on plays on go to a safety valve RB on pass routes so quickly? We have the most talented WR corps we've had in 20+ years yet we were afraid to throw downfield in the final possession!

Something that isn't a game. That is though, just me. I have an uncanny ability to not let things I have no control over (or in this case no tangible effect on life) to bother me.

It's interesting I usually take loses so damn hard. Not today. We get what we deserve. Heck we should have lost last week. 7-3 looks better than 6-4. Iowa should be 6-4. They dodged a huge bullet last week. No dodging 2 bad performances.

yeah, i'm usually pretty optimisitic but after the last two weeks, I think we are looking at 9-4 or 8-5 (depending on who we get in a bowl game, hope it isn't a spread team with a QB that can run a little and be accurate. ugh.

I think this game was over before it even started. I'm actually taking it pretty well though. the Texas bowl is looking pretty good right now. Wouldn't have to travel far.

well said... i usually get so charged up for games, but i just had a feeling from the early parts of the game that we weren't going to do what it took to pull this one out with our performance this week and last.
this is not me giving up or throwing anyone under the bus or wavering from my commitment to the hawks for all your immediate thread jumpers.

+1. I honestly don't understand why people would be in melt down mode. Seriously. Have some of you not seen this coming? I'm not trying to be a smartass, either, but think about AZ, UW, IU...the end of this game has basically been how IA plays. It's frustrating and annoying, but I'm definitely not surprised by this performance.

+1. Another reason I'm not really melting down. It's obviously frustrating for everyone (myself included), but I guess I just figure today is how IA has played many times this season, so this performance wasn't surprising. Losing always sucks, but nothing I do will likely ever influence the outcome of an IA football game, and recognizing that is invaluable.

Very unacceptable- I just think my definition of a meltdown may be different from yours. You will see in many other posts that I'm completely at odds with this loss- but a meltdown? nah.
