If Norm retires, approach Tom Bradley?

Ok we are trying to have a football conversation here folks not a child molestation case. PSU defenses have been pretty good over the years and I think this would be a great addition. Let's all remember they didn't molest the kids...or should we just continue the lynch mob?

We don't know this yet. Bradley had to know what Sandusky was doing, and if you're willing to enable child molestation it's not a big leap to engage in it yourself.

omfg.....I'm almost done with this board after years and years of coming here. blah blah rabble rabble child molestation rabble lynch mob ...blah blah kill them all rabble rankle death penalty.

Absolutely no way anyone will ever convince me that this guy was not in on this whole cover up. He was Sandusky's protege, and replaced him when he suddenly retired in '99. 12 years now as the D coordinator, and he was in the dark about these incidents? LOL no effing way. Once you are done buying that swamp land from hoffa, I have some ocean front property in Grimes to sell you. You will tehboat's neighbor!

Oh jail break do you want the gun the put the bullet in their heads? I see you really want to kill them all. Does this blind hatred you carry make you much better than them? Isnt there something in that book of fables about not casting stones?

careful about jumping to conclusions, Bradley is in a position to get his dream job, win out and he probably gets the job, loses more than he wins down the stretch and you end up with a complete house cleaning. Larry Johnson might be worth a look, he is a very good D-Line coach, not sure how that would translate to a DC role as well

What is this obsession you have with thinking everyone is a murderer? It has seriously moved into the twilight zone here. Yes, I am better than them. That is a fact. No job would convince me that covering up molestation is a good idea. The same cannot be said for the parties in question. As to the book of fairy tales you are referring to...I am an atheist... That book also says that if an unmarried woman is raped she must marry her rapist, along with countless other immoral commandments. Remind me again why I should give an eff what that tome of immorality has to say...

This riot mentality usually leads to deaths. We better key the religious slamming before we get the ban hammer lol.

Was just about to come to your defense there, hawkfan. Then you insult the word of God and quote it in your own defense, all in one sentence.
I'll still help you out. Even if Bradley knew why Sandusky got canned, what's he supposed to do? Run to the cops and say, "I heard Sandusky is a pervert!"
In the grand jury report I read, they made no mention of Bradley. Whispers and rumors are not evidence, just rumor.
Now repent and sin no more.

Yes, that's exactly what he should do. Instead he stayed quiet and God knows how many more kids had their lives ruined.

They all knew, the guy shouldn't be coaching now. Look how defiant (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for) he was acting in the press conference, like it was a personal attack on him that Joe Pa was fired. Bradley should be gone too.

They are going to have a tough time with these hires.

They need a new President, AD, and HC.

Strong HC candidates are going to want to know who the AD is going to be. Strong ADs are going to want to know who the President is going to be. Presidential searches take a year.

So, either PSU finds someone strong who is willing to take a leap of faith, or they take a leap of faith with respect to someone who doesn't quite have the resume you would expect for the position for which they are being hired.

BTW - the reverse is true by what I said before. All those people hired are going to want their own people. So, no way any of the current FB coaching staff stays.

No, no, no. This guy played for Penn State, was a GA for Penn State, and coached defensive backs and other positions under Sandusky himself. Even if he didn't know, this is not the type of attention we want to bring to the University of Iowa. Stay away from the current Penn State coaching staff, at least until the whole case is investigated and settled in the courtroom.

Glen Mason said on BTN yesterday that there are no secrets on a coaching staff thus implying that everyone of these coaches on the staff knew about the abuse. In essence if a head coach hires Bradley he is hiring a man to work with young people who did nothing to stop child abuse. Anyone on this board that wants to overlook that and bring him to our staff needs to do a serious frickin' reality check - and yes hawkfan1319 that means you.

Exactly. I don't think we should look at Bradley if we have a DC vacancy. However, he 1) didn't witness anything, 2) didn't have any information to give to police other than what 1hawkeye1 has said above (which the police can't really do anything with), and 3) might have not REALLY known what happened (just vaguely heard about 'inappropriateness' rather than 'sex', 'rape', or 'sodomy.'). Further, I doubt Spanier, Curley, and the VP were broadcasting to position coaches and coordinators that they were squelching the investigation.

If ANY of my numbers 1, 2, and 3, above are changed by new FACTS coming out, then maybe the man should be blacklisted from coaching. We don't know anything about that, though.

NO!!!!
