Bad start for the Hawks

I find it interesting how much playing time Levin is getting since Feurebach went out. In a trickle down effect, I just assumed Stremlow would Feurbach"s minutes and Deal would get Stremlow's minutes.
But Deal did not play as many minutes against Penn St and Nebraska as I thought she would. Seems like Deal's minutes stayed the same and Levin got the extra minutes instead

Big W. That Neb team is solid they can shoot. That 23 for them is a hell of a player really. I think she got tired and cooled off in the 2nd half some. We made some adjustments and that helped too.
Our big 3 Chit-Chat, Ava and Stuelke lead the way. We have a nice solid big 3 that when we play with spacing and don't turn it over we can get quality shots. Stuelke making all her FTs was a welcome surprise. If she somehow magically starts making those at a 75% or higher clip the rest of the way that'll lead us to Ws
Jan really tightened up the rotation the starters all played big mins. It'll be interesting when Kylie and I guess Emely too are healthy enough to play how that goes. Addie had like 3 TOs in 6 mins she didn't play very well so that's a bummer. Glad it didn't matter she'll grow from it

I guess it gives me hope that Deal can work past her struggles when you look at how much Ava Heiden struggled last year as a freshman but something clicked in February last year for Heiden and now she is an all Big Ten candidate.
Of course Guyton also struggled last year as a freshman and just gradually got worse it seemed and eventually transferred. Which route will Addie Deal take? Stay tuned but I am betting she will be a future All Big Ten candidate too.
Yeah freshman are freshman. Deals previous game she played great. So it's just going to be a roller coaster for her. I'm glad we aren't in a position to have to lean on her for a lot of production cause that'd not be good. By no means do we worry about her at this point. True freshman sometimes just aren't ready and that's fine. Let her learn on the fly and she'll have better days ahead

Levin played very well on D, she was able to contain the husker sharpshooter when she was in
and shut her down
We miss Kylie on D and all around floor play
She also would make 1/2 threes each game
