If it happens again.....reaction?

Leading late in the 4th, Defense gives up long drive for TD, Offense gets the ball back with 1:50 left......you know the rest.

Having some time away from Iowa football for the last month, I had accepted the outcome of the season, but if it happens for a 6th time this year, it will open some old wounds and it might sour me for next year.

Prediction:
Missouri: 27
Iowa 21

It could very easily happen so be prepared for anything, but don't let it sour you for next year. Stay thirsty my friend.

I dont really care if we lose all that much tonight, I just want to see Hawkeyes play with some heart and fire. Something we havent really seen much lately this year.

As someone who has a smart phone I can honestly say I don't get too wrapped up in thinking about scenarios like this one. If it happens it happens, the world keeps on a spinning.

You guys are such downers, Iowa football under Ferentz is like a bunch of different movies, many of which have the same ending. Some years the defense holds on those late drives and we eek out close wins, some years they choke and we go 6-6 or 7-5. If the d collapses late, it will just be another saga in a long series, but come hell or high water, I'll be at Ryan Field supporting the 'cats come next September.

You forgot the part about the offense stalling the drive before the defense gives up the late td. The O has to put up at least 30 tonight(barring a late fake punt dibacle) for us to win.

So you're essentially conceding the game.

:p

Or like one of those "Choose your own adventure" books, except that after you've skipped ahead to page 48, back to 23, ahead to 37, ahead again to 73, and back to 19, it still tells you to go to page 90. Page 90 is also where the story told you to go after you'd started on page 4, then 30, then 61, then 42, then 12, and finally to page 84 before sending you to that fateful page.

Page 90 is where we lose late in the 4th quarter, and despite choosing two completely different adventures in getting there, we end up with the same result.
