Would anybody shed tears of joy? I rarely, if ever, shed tears of joy but if I was seating in UCLA stadium (The Rose Bowl) watching the Hawkeyes, I believe that I would shed a tear. I am a die hard Hawkeye fan and there is never a day that goes by that I don't talk about Iowa Football or read something on the internet regarding Iowa football, and I have no doubt it would be one of the greatest moments of my life. I was only 11 years old the last time Iowa went to Pasadena. If the Hawks ever went again, I wouldn't miss it for the world. When you are a Hawkeye fan, you know that years like that are few and far between. You never know when they would go to the Rose Bowl again. Wisconsin fans are very, very fortunate to be going to back to back Rose Bowls.

Not sure if would just getting there, but if we won...I can see it happening for sure. Now if we won a national title, for sure. I also think I would get a hawkeye tatoo. I don't have any now, and that would be a great reason to get one.

For rizzle my shizzle. I just about had tears in my eyes at the Orange Bowl, thinking about how cool it was to be at a BCS bowl Iowa was playing in, can't imagine what I would do in Pasadena.

It would be awesome to get back but it's just not the same anymore for me. Thank the BCS for that. Once teams like Miami's, Nebraska's (Big 12), Oklahoma's and Texas started going to Rose Bowl the luster faded for me.

Man, I thought I had a problem with taking this stuff too seriously. Guess not. No football game will ever bring tears to my eyes at this age. That being said, it's going to be a LONG time before Iowa sees the Rose Bowl again. Hope I'm wrong.

Couldn't agree more. I've never nor will ever go to a bowl game unless it's the Rose or Nc and chances are there's only one real crack at either and with Kirk at the helm there's not a chance in hell. But I'll keep dreaming about one January day in California....,
