I would welcome Royce on our team...

It's been a perfect fit for Royce on this year's Clone team. Helps to have shooters like Christopherson, Allen, Babb, and McGee. Esp. Allen with his 15 games of tourney experience from MSU.

We'll see if they can hit the 3 ball at a good percentage against Kentucky.

Secondly, yes, Royce would help our team....and I think he is VERY underutilized at ISU. IMO, there's no reason he shouldn't be scoring 20+ a game. I think Fred using him as a point forward, instead of a true 4, really limits his game.

Fred kinda has to do this though because the team has no true PG this year. Plus, Royce could score a lot more if he wanted to. But he draws the defense in under the bucket and kicks it out to shooters all the time rather than trying to force it. He's a very selfless player

I take it every poster who is saying they haven't watched a second of Iowa State this year until now, skipped out on watching the ISU-Iowa game then?

I have watched about 8 ISU games this year.

I agree Royce will be back. If you are not a first round pick it does not make a lot of sense in my opinion to go. He is not on the 2012 mock draft list so I would expect him to be back. He needs to add a jump shot to his game.

I don't think he is underutilized at all. The offense is actually very good and shows that Fred is a pretty darn good coach. Royce will not score 20+ a game until 1. he shoots more 2. he makes more free throws 3. he adds a 12-15 foot consistent jump shot to his game.

ISU spreads the floor extremely well. White can't shoot but you can't sag too far off him because he is a good ball handler and will just go run a dribble hand off to create a wide open 3 point shot. So the power forward/center must stay close to help on screens to stop wide open 3 point shots.

Also spreading the floor and pulling the PF/C away from the basket leaves the lane wide open like you saw last night. Christopherson, and Allen are pretty dangerous when they can get around a guy, with the floor spread the help defender is too far away to help over and they are pretty adept at getting by a defender.

The offense is actually very good and ISU has the pieces to run it pretty well.

Iowa State is 21-0 when Royce shoots 11 times or less in a game. Why should we want him to score 20 a game?

Then you don't even have the first clue about basketball. Fred's use of him has clearly been very smart.
