Chad is one of the biggest problems with the program. He spent 10 of his last 12 years before coming to Iowa at St. Olaf and Loras. His only experience in Division I was at the power Eastern Michigan.

He has absolutely no contacts with anybody!

Who attends St. Olaf & Loras? Upper middle-class white people. I don't know the economic background of the Iowa players but, their are very few minorities.

If Lick is fired, I think the new coach should consider keeping Chad. He appears to have single-handily made all the recruiting connections for this staff. At this point I do think he has developed relationships in the midwest. I think he also has a feel to the gray world of recruiting. Not to mention he will be able to give the new coach some insights to the state of Iowa basketball and be able to describe exactly what failures Lick had. If Lick is fired, these 3 years will be a failure, at least Chad would be able to give advice helping the new guy not make the same mistakes.

It will just never happen. Despite many good things from CW it would be a nightmare hire for Barta. The perception would be he has lost his mind if he made this move.
