I 'cleared this with the tower' at Clear Channel and they do not view this as a violation of my non compete...Deace and I will likely produce a twice weekly 'podcast' and 'videocast' at Mac's studios starting soon, sometime in April...focus will be primarily on college football.
Tomorrow, we'll talk a variety of sports, including Hawkeye sports, plus a few topics that will likely come out of nowhere.
As an aside...
Mac started this a few years back, and he was well ahead of his time with this sort of platform...I think its still ahead of its time, but that time has moved closer.
While I think stations like WHO are always going to have value and viability, there is going to be an opportunity in the foreseeable future where outlets like this will empower broadcasters to more greatly control their own brands. I think within five years we'll be able to punch MillerandDeace | Facebook or whatever into an audio device in our vehicles, and listen to content on demand or live...
I think states are going to be blanketed with 'wifi' coverage...once that happens, then things like this will explode.
