I Think the Hawks Are In

The disappointing aspect to me is to watch Minnesota and know they are a 'lock'. How could anyone who has watched them play the last 15 games think this is a quality tournament team?

With considerable befuddlement, I continue to observe a profusion of exposition on Minnesota's supposed lack of legitimacy. Need I emphasize, consonant to RPI, Minnesota is, by a convincing degree, our highest quality victory of the season. If Minnesota is of poor timbre as many expound, the ironic corollary results in a less impressive tournament resume.

With all due respect, this is my response when I read one of your posts sometimes.

The part of me is played by Jim Belushi.

With no due respect, that was disgusting and I demand you remove it immediately. No one desires to be unwillingly exposed to such vile debauchery.

An addendum to your crude point, if I may. When assuming an alternate identity to emphasize a farcical escapade, you axiomatically lose validity when you purposefully adopt the persona of Jim Belushi.

While I don't think it's impossible ...

Everytime I hear/read 'I think the hawks are in, all I think of is Chubbie saying "that's terrific, Scott. now when do we get to see the wolf?"

but in the end, I guess Scott Howard was right, and the Beacontown beavers beat the dragons.

The committee has made some head scratching decisions in the past. That leaves me with hope when so many others think we are out. Here's to hoping we see Iowa in a 13 vs. 13 play in game matchup against Villanova or Tennessee or similar.

That's my only real hope at this point, that the committee will see all of Iowa's close losses against good teams and throw us a bone.

But, I think it's more likely that the committee continues its witch hunt against teams with a weak non-conference SOS.

With a SOS in the 300's, an RPI in the 70's, and no significant road wins, as in zero none, we are not in the NCAA tourney.

We'll be a #1 seed in the NIT. I wish it weren't so, but them's the breaks.

I love your new persona, ghost. I'm impressed with your vast lexicon. Your posts are illuminating.
