I think Indiana wins the B1G title outright now.

Unfortunately. Maryland isn't gonna beat em on their own floor the last game of the regular season. So, the only potential loss they have on their schedule left is us (Iowa).

Iowa will finish in a tie for 2nd at 13-5. No way Iowa goes 3-1 or better with their tough (road) schedule.

Who will Iowa finish in a tie for 2nd place with?

Michigan State.

At least we will get the #2 seed for the BTT then, if that means much of anything.

That PSU loss is what is gonna cost us a share of the title, IMHO.

Sucks, if we couldn't win the B1G with how great we were playing this year, along with a #4 ranking to go alongside it, we might not ever win it.

Anyways, that's my latest story (prediction) and I'm sticking to it.

I like the way you think. That a way to be optimistic.

I think we'll surprise some iowa fans these last 4 games. Gonna put some more attention to defense and rebounding.

Indiana has lost @Wisconsin, @Penn St., and @ MSU, they aren't going to beat Iowa in Iowa City.

I don't think they beat Iowa in Iowa City either. Unfortunately I don't think Iowa wins out either. They'll lose the road games, therefore losing any Big Ten championship. At least they'll have a top 4 seed for BTT though, haven't done that for a while.

If Indiana does win the regular conference title there should be an asterisk along side to point out that it is a fraud. Their two plays were/are Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. Compare that to Iowa's: MSU, MI, PU, IU, and PSU. Indiana would have three more losses right now.

If Iowa beats Indiana, then Iowa just need to go 2-1 in its other 3 games to win the B1G championship. So you basically think Iowa will go 2-2 or worse.

I personally don't see that, but we will know two weeks from now.

^^ I agree that Fran needs to get these guys back to being more agressive on defense and rebounding.

I dont see any reason why they cant play really good bball and win their last 4 games. On paper recordwise etc they are better than their last 4 opponents when you take into account they play IU at home.

This is one of those years where they win at Mich and the hawks have usually played well at OSU.

We have evry chance to win this thing. We need to take care of Bucky first and get some positive momentum. We have played well at OSU in the past so I'm not prepared to put that in the loss column at all. Michigan is a yoyo team, you never know what team will show up and Indiana at home on Senior night should be ours for the taking. Lots of ball to be played, let's see what happens.

Don't think we have to hit the panic button just yet. They have a week to get ready for the final push,we've seen how good this team can be.Heres hoping for good things to happen.Go Hawks

Yep, win the next 3 (2 at home) and we are guaranteed a B1G championship. Pretty sure the players know this and will be focused and ready to play.

Agree. What a wasted opportunity. Typical Iowa.

Since when is tied for 1st in the B1G at the end of Feb "typical Iowa"...20-30 years ago maybe.

While a B1G title would be magical, can we all stop pretending like anything less is some kind of failure.

Indiana looks pretty good right now though.

This thread is really a thing? Iowa will most likely win out...undisputed Big 10 champs. Wisconsin won at Maryland but Maryland has no chance at Indiana? Have you been paying attention at all OP? And if Iowa and Indiana should both go 14-4 we will be no worse than a 2 seed while Indiana will be no better than a 4 seed. This is when the quality of each team's conference schedule and road wins will be acknowledged.

typical Iowa fans, **** and moan about things that haven't happened yet. I think once we get by Wisc., we will win out.

After watching the Nebby / OSU game yesterday my concerns over going to OSU were greatly reduced. Both of those teams looked, well, bad is the only way to say it. If OSU puts on the same performance when we play them, I think we'll be fine. We will take care of Wisconsin with not a lot of trouble. MSU brought them back to reality. That pretty much leaves the Indiana game as the decider whether we share or win outright imo. Like nearly all teams, Indiana is NOT the same team on the road as they are at home. I haven't looked, but I don't think they've won a Big 10 road game of consequence this year. The Michigan game is hard to predict in that you can't tell either teams' mindset right now until everything plays out between now and then imo. If Michigan is playing for the NCAA berth and B10 seeding, it'll be double tough to go there and win. On the other hand if Iowa is playing for an outright title and Michigan's lot is already cast, they might just be playing to get on to the tourney. IF Iowa is playing the calibre they've played the first 20 games of the season, I think we beat them regardless. SO many intangibles right now that I think trying to predict or anticipate is nearly impossible for that game imo. All I know is Wisconsin is first up and that's where all of the team's focus needs to be.

I admire your optimism, but I can't see how anyone who has watched the games the past few weeks can say Iowa will win out. Are they capable? Absolutely, but unless they find that magic they had earlier in the season it won't happen. Uthoff isn't making those tough fade aways, Uhl has disappeared offensively, and opposing teams have figured Iowa out defensively.

I agree with the OP, right now Indiana has all the momentum and looks to be the team to beat for the Big Ten title.
