The kid played LIGHTS OUT against one of the best WR in the nation and best in the Big 10.. Coming up and blowing the run game up, sealing the edge on reverses and screens and locking down everyone he went against.

One hell of a showing by him in a big time game.

agreed! I am not even sure it's debatable now everyone watched him shut down a 1000 yd receiver.

On the long drive home last night/this morning I was thinking about who I would name as player of the game. It was a tough call. I think that I'd have given in to Mabin. King, Johnson, Hesse, Koen, Blythe all played very good as well.
 
King played outstanding but I think one thing that will get overshadowed by his awards and stats are his leadership abilities and I think he has made a huge impact on how Maybin has played. When you look at the start of the year with how Maybin played to last night it was just a huge improvement. Very excited about it and he has earned it
