I think denver is in for a big dissapointment.

Denver is in for disappointment but it has nothing to do with Manning. Getting rid of God's only begotten son is going to lead to a curse of epic proportions on that franchise.

His lack of arm strength and the interceptions are starting to put a little concern in me but at the same time, the guy hasn't played in 18 months so he's going to be rusty. When the Steelers come to town in Week 1 for a Sunday night game, it should give us an indication of what kind of season it's going to be.

Plus, whoever was downgrading Montana's years in KC is stupid. He took them to the playoffs twice. Yeah he wasn't the same QB he was in SF but he was older and not playing with the same elite talent either

Are you closing right now? Was this post considered a close?

Well, this thread looks interesting in hindsight. I guess I was wrong comparing Manning to Unitas and Namath.

Denver has been a blast to watch this year.

Right before Romo threw that pick, I said "a big turnover would be nice here", but I was thinking to myself "no way in hell an NFL QB makes that kinda mistake here" - WRONG!

The Broncs clock management/playcalling was bizarre on their game winning drive, tho.

Why was it bizarre? It was perfect. Dallas should have let them score once they were inside the 20. Only chance the Cowboys had.

Throwing so much? I thought it was unusually aggressive for that situation (but maybe my opinions have been tempered by years of watching Iowa's offense)

This should not be a surprise as this is what Romo is known for.

oh man, i miss Duff. never was sure all the way if he was serious with some of his takes, but was a funny dude. dude loved him some LeBron.

The radio chatter re: Von Miller was off the charts on local sports radio here in the pre-season. I heard the name "Von Miller" mentioned on the radio on the way home for the first time since game 1, I think!

I agree... on both accounts....Did you see yesterday the story (blurb) about he and Know-show were quibbling between plays when they were down to the 2 yl on that final drive? Peyton was trying to tell Moreno to get the 1st down at the 2 foot line, but to NOT score the TD...Moreno wasn't apparently quite sure how to do it, but figured it out and did, thus utilizing the clock mgmt to perfection....so, so much different than what we see with the Hawks.
