I received my season tickets!

Congrats, hopefully I get mine this week. Any drastic changes in tailgating rules? They usually tell you that when you get your season tickets.

I've been checking HawkeyeSports and they still have the gameday info from 2009. I'm hoping there aren't any drastic changes. With all the rumors out there that Sally Mason is trying to clean up tailgating I wouldn't be shocked if they tightened up some of the rules.

I haven't heard anything new since their permit was denied. I'm going to assume it's probably done for at least this year.

I remember when Olive Ct shut down, a good percentage of that crowd went to the Magic Bus. I can't help but wonder where the MB crowd is going to go now.

This link might help you with the new rules.

Sadly this will probably true within the next few years...

Really? Is there a way to vote out Sally Mason before the season starts?

Technically open container policy is supposed to be enforced all the time, but with the extremely high volume of people disobeying it there is no way they will be able to enforce it. Same with public intox, unless you're so ********* you are causing a disturbance or bringing attention to yourself.

I think we can all agree the public intox law as it is written in Iowa is a bunch of BS.

In a normal, non gameday instance, then yes. I'm just saying that the IC and University Heights popo look the other way on gameday Saturdays for public intox, unless you're being a tool.

Outside of the open container thing it sounds pretty vague or was already not allowed. I don't see them not allowing drinking beer on university lots. The big donors would go balistic. I could see walking up to the gate with a beer or from tailgate to tailgate on the street being enforced. This could have been worse. Thanks for the info.

Not understanding the open bar comment.

if you have to get drunk to enjoy Iowa Football........I feel sorry for you and for your wives who then proceed to get banged in bathroom stalls by guys they don't even remember! (i.e. @ Minn '08)
