I really think this staff "neutered" the offense in the 2nd half of the MSU game

All season long, we'd been putting up 30+ points per game. The offense was crisp and efficient, the penalties were minimal, everything was clicking. First half of the MSU game, we couldn't be stopped. We were an absolute machine. The 2nd half, we come out and are content to go run-run-run punt for the entire half. From that point on, our offense was a complete and utter mess. I really think the staff took away the offense's mojo that day and from that point on, we can see the result it had.

I was thinking the exact same thing. The last quarter and a half against MSU was horrendous and it seems to have carried over.

The coaches will say lack of execution and untimely penalties, and yes that is some of it. But you have to remember, with each game come game film, and good defenses and their coaches are watching that film. We are predictable and anything less that great play and almost perfect execution will result is less points.
