I really hate to say this

But I just don't enjoy watching this team play. I actually enjoyed watching last years team much more. Maybe it was just the higher expectations this year?

I enjoy watching this team, a lot. I don't much care for losses. This team is the best we've had in over a decade.

I definitely still enjoy watching them play. It's absolutely been fun to watch Marble over the last few week, especially. If this team could have gotten even just a couple of those tough losses to go the other way, he's the hands-down favorite for POY right now. We're absolutely going to miss him next year, and it's been fun to watch him continue to improve every year.

more fun to watch this year... because they score more.

However have really played lousy down the stretch.

Hopefully they can find some redemption.

Have to disagree. I would rather watch last year's squad over this year's squad in a New York minute. There is something to be said about heart and effort...this year's team just don't got it. Last year it was fun because you never knew what you were going to get. This year we all know what we're getting--one half of college basketball followed by a half of horrible fundamentals, mental mistakes and poor effort which ultimately leads to predictable collapses and a big fat L. Don't too much care for the latter.

Last year was the exact same thing except we didn't play as many tough opponents and we struggled more to even stay in the game against the good teams.

This years team is horrible on defense. They probably weren't that great last year either. Fran is still building the program, and Iowa needs a couple of real athletic guys. Even though Iowa had the lead at half time, I didn't really think Iowa really had much of a chance to win the game. Iowa is a running team, but they seem pretty predictable. Maybe thats why other teams seem to do so well against Iowa in the second half. It seems like just about every game is pretty much the same, and that is starting to get pretty boring.

This team has gotten worse and worse as the year as gone on and Fran looks like he has no clue what to do. That is not a good sign going forward for a head coach.

Dude, go back 4 years. This team is a hoot to watch. Fran is fun to watch, you never know what he's going to punch, kick, throw, etc.

These are the types of posts that have kept me from visiting as much. I understand being upset but come on. It's like we haven't won 20 games and will be missing the NCAA tourney the way this board overreacts to everything. If you don't enjoy watching it, just don't watch it.

The "0" defense that is being played is disgusting. Last night they got down by 6 and I went to bed (cause I was tired and have a new born). If I thought they could make a few stops and get back in it I would have stayed up to watch. But since they are mentally weak and can't play defense anymore (how did that happen?) it's not worth staying up to watch.

Yes, MSU got away with hand checking all night (which Dicky V never saw happen, I hate that dude's commentary), but the hawks need to toughen up. Marble is the only one making stuff happen. What happens next year?

I'm enjoying watching Marble. He is amazing and continues to get better and better.

Opponents have figured out to stop nearly every other player on this team, but Marble is just unstoppable. I think teams have accepted that now. Wise move on their part.

I will say this, it's nice to have a coach who still cares. If this was football you know KF would just be there chewing his gum and counting his money as the losses pile up. At least Fran is earning his salary, middle of the road salary, middle of the pack results, unlike KF who gets paid an elite salary for middle of the pack results.

Well technically...we have paid Fran for a half he didn't even coach (and the following game)...Kirk has never been absent from his position...

You sure about that? There's been a lot of games where I wonder where his mind is? Probably on his bank account I'm sure, cause it's certainly not focused on the game.

Wow, at least KF finished the season strong unlike Fran is doing.

why would you even feel the need to bring KF and his salary in to the conversation?
