Last night on youtube I decided to watch the N. Texas game again. I know you're rolling your eyes, or asking "why?". The answer is that I wanted to watch IKM. It was in that game that he jumped out for me. The problem is that I had to sit through 2.5 quarters of Iowa getting pushed around at the line of scrimmage with a few flashes here and there. This was before the injuries on the OLine.
It was prologue to what we would see through most of the season. Absolute futility. I am hoping that this year will be different. And I believe that it should be obvious if they are going to improve.
Of course I just remembered that usually opening day is hard to watch for Iowa. They are sloppy and plodding usually. So with that I'll dial back my expectations. And get ready for the Iowa State game.
