I invite you to take this pledge with me.

I promise to enjoy tonight's game regardless of the outcome. I will remind myself how lucky we are to have had 5 postseason games and that I am grateful for the entertainment this team has provided. I will refrain from criticism of any of our players or coaches even if we lose by 20. This group represents all that is great about Iowa sports. We have the entertaining(Marble), promise of a better future(Gessell & Woodbury) and most importantly players that embody the very essence of the values that make us proud to Iowans(May & McCabe). This has been the most fun I have had as Iowa fan since the Orange Bowl and I feel like it is just the beginning of something much greater. Thank you Fran for making Iowa basketball fun again(win or lose)!
 
It's the phucking NIT. I didn't even know it was on TV until about 50 Hawk fans sent me private messages saying "hey check out our NIT game tonight!!!"

Agreed. This team has never taken a game off; good play or bad. Each game, the effort has been 100%. That is all we can ask for. Whether the ball goes in the hoop or not is up to chance; effort given is what each player can control.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the University of Iowa, and to the tradition for which it stands, one program, under God, indivisible, with winning and competitiveness sometimes.
 
I took the pledge, and I tried to enjoy the game. But so far... not so much. Still a fun season. Looking for better things next year.

And ActiveBadger... suck it.

I stand by this. We win sometimes. We're competitive sometimes. And sometimes, well, we occupy the same court or field as our opponent. But my allegiance is still pledged.
