THIS! It’s the Hawkeye luck. We save our “luck” up for the worst teams (IL, Ball St, etc). Then, get every stinking bad bounce and break to good teams that we end up losing by less than a score to. It’s uncanny.
Next week, we either beat Debby 48-10 OR lose 37-34 in OT with a bunch of bad bounces. Book it

It's similar to being a Cubs fan this past season. They'd put up 9 or 10 runs when the other team was only scoring 1 or 2, but then they'd go several games in a row where scoring a run looked like the hardest thing in the world
