I like this Final Four.....

Personally, not a team I seriously dislike, since Duke got throttled by Louie today. Don't mind Michigan as the Big rep, everyone will be rooting for WSU (so glad they put the Suckeyes to bed), and Syracuse and that zone, well, speaks for itself. Ought to be real entertaining.

What is everyone else's thoughts?

Not a big Cuse fan in the past and especially now. I would like to see Mich get in the final and maybe win it.

I dont want to see Louisville win it as not a big pitino fan for last 10-15 years.

I would like to see a Louisville/Michigan Final.

Ditto...would be a good game and fun to watch. Michigan should handle Syracuse. Their players have the right set of offensive skills to beat that zone. Also, Syracuse has the occasional game where they struggle to score and are about due. It could be like today's game against Florida.

I am rooting for the Mizzouri Valley representative - Wichita State. At least for the first 10 minutes against Louisville. After that, there might not be much to root for.

Louisville and Syracuse look awfully hard to beat at this point, but I hope Michigan and WSU get past them.

Michigan has the perfect style of play to beat Syracuse but they better come out ready to play...like the Florida game and not like the Kansas game. I feel like Syracuse is somewhat like Wisconsin. They ugly the game up with that zone defense and if they get a lead they're tough to catch...need them playing on their heels. Also, they can be offensively challenged at times.

Wichita State has gotten far enough that Louisville won't look past them. Louisville is dedicating the rest of the tournament to their injured teammate and is extremely talented and deep. I picked Louisville in my brackets and nothing has changed my mind after seeing them play. Ware is very talented but they are deep enough to overcome his absence for 2 games.

It will be interesting to see how Beilin attacks Syracuse's zone. He's a much better game coach than Crean and he's coached against this several times while at WV. He doesn't have anyone that's a perfect fit to put in the middle of the zone, McGary doesn't have the jumper to play there. Maybe try Hardaway there and have McGary run the baseline.

I'm guessing it will be Hardaway shooting the 15 footers...also Burke on pull up jumpers. McGary will try to go get it if they miss. Michigan doesn't have to run their offense through the post like Indiana. Marquette really has no offense so... Syracuse may win but this will be a different opponent and better offense than what they've seen thus far. Burke should get the ball to the right guys in the right places. They just have to make the shots.

Michigan has tall shooters too in Stauskas and GRIII and Hardaway, it won't be like Jordan Hulls trying to spot up for Indiana

What's not to like about Pitino?

I'm not sure anybody will be able to hang with Louisville. Their D is a whole nother level.

Michigan has a tough offense but their D isn't at the level of the Cards.

Louisville has won 14 games in a row, by more than 17 points on average, and won its four tournament games by an average of 24.25 points; this trend seems likely to continue. Boeheim's zone is never entertaining. But I'll watch it all, no doubt.

If Hardaway can hit his jumpers, they should win. He disappears offensively sometimes. The Canadian sniper can take up the slack. that was quite a performance yesterday, especially the last three from the very corner of the court.....

I like Mighigan and want them to win because of Big Ten Pride, but if the Shockers win, it will be alright with me. About time for a MidMajor to win a championship, and they are the toughest team left......

:)

Crean coached against Syracuse while at Marquette a lot too. It seemed he did not have IU prepared for it though on Thursday though... ;)

Michigan has taller personal and like someone else mentioned it's not like Huls trying to shoot over the tall 'Cuse defenders.

I think Michigan is the only team with a chance...but I agree it is very likely Louisville is this year's champion. They can score with Michigan and Michigan really doesn't play much D at all IMO. I don't think Syracuse can score with Michigan...assuming Michigan scores the way I think they will against the zone.

Note - Siva has a very high basketball IQ on offense but seems to commit at least 2 dumb fouls a game. If they play Michigan and Siva gets a couple quick fouls (with Ware injured) it could change the entire complexion of this game. I see this scenario as being Michigan's best chance.

I'm not even mentioning the Louisville vs. Wichita State game. I think Louisville wins this one going away.

Big East really has marked it's claim that's it still is the best conference in america

I think they have the best team in Louisville. I think Syracuse is good and got on a roll at the right time. To say Marquette was fortunate to get out of the 1st round is an understatement.

Highly regarded Georgetown lost in the 1st round. Villanova, Cincinnati, Pitt and Notre Dame all lost in the 1st round. So...the Big East went 3-5 in the 1st round and almost 2-6. The Big 10 went 6-1. The Big East is not the best "conference" in America. That would be the Big 10.

Agreed. I see a Louie/Mich final which would be a nice game to watch.
I will pull for WSU though.
I have zero love for the Orange.
