It was a horrible game, but I liked listening to Ellis.

Especially when they were talking about the old days and had a picture with Marble, Horton and Armstrong. Then he piped in and mentioned Sir Jamalot!

I was a little kid at that time and will never forget those guys and Gerry Wright, aka Sir Jamalot. They were my heroes. It's nice to hear a commentator who actually knows the history of the team. Just wish the Hawks didn't suck so bad tonight.

Ahh...the 86-87 team. Marble, Horton, BJ, Jamalot, Q-tip Lohaus...and what a bench....Gamble, Bill Jones, Jeff Moe, The Vanilla Gorilla (Lorenzen). Top 10 all year long. The only bad thing was choking against UNLV.

they were ahead so fast in that UNLV game that we basically quit watching, broke out some tequila, and started looking for ways to get to the Final Four! OMG what a meltdown. What a great team.

He is absolutely awful to listen to on ESPNU during the season. I guess that is the reason he is on the U.
