I know Nebraska was in a prevent(ish) but...

Once again Vandenberg looked much more comfortable running out of the shotgun, as they did in the 4th quarter today. And they actually MOVED THE BALL. Something we saw very little of today from the Iowa offense.

After the Pitt game it seemed as though the coaching staff was going to roll with the spread a little bit, after seeing the great success the Iowa offense had with it. And I'll sound like a broken record here but the staff seems to be unwilling to change and adapt to today's college football. Unless you're able to recruit 4 and 5 star guys who are just athletic freaks and can simply overpower opponents, to have success in today's game I believe you have to incorporate at least some elements of the spread.

Go ahead and reply with teams that have success without the spread, but they are more and more becoming the exception rather than the rule
