I wasn't even interested in watching the games on Saturday.

It wasn't just because Iowa wasn't playing, it's because I hate the championship games.

They feel stale. No atmosphere, INDOORS SUCKS, neutral crowd. I suppose the one I enjoyed was the Oregon/UCLA game.

I guess while I wish the season was 4 games longer, I really loved the old school way before the BCS.

Otherwise, can we actually go to a playoff with home games?

I was watching, I thought these games were great especially the B1G championship game. It was fun to finally see a B1G school playing in December. In previous years the B1G season was over and this weekend was boring.

I enjoyed the B10 CG. I only change I would like to see is move the game outdoors.

Either reward the team with the better record with hosting the game or rotate it. Odd numbered years are hosted by the Legend's champ, even numbered years by the Leader's champ, etc.

Hosting it would be the way to go, but wouldn't get the kickbacks from the C.o.C. and cities.

Everyone talks about how great it was indoors. I can't watch indoor CFB.

Another idea, rotate B1G stadiums, even if they're not playing. Good way to showcase the cities and towns and stadiums. It would be kind of cool to go to Michigan Stadium to watch Iowa vs. Penn State or something like that.

They would have to add a few more porta potties to Welsh Ryan.

That may be the single dumbest conference game idea I've ever read.

Ha! I just had a flashback to last year when I waited in line for one of those dang porta potties.

At any rate, I like the conference championship format. It makes the B1G relevant at this time of the year. The teams get more national media exposure and interest. It was the best championship game this weekend. Good start to this divisional format/championship thing.

Lastly, the divisions allow games to be relevant late in the season. I didn't anticipate this, but it does bring interest and media attention to the divisional races late in the year.

All in all, I like the new format, and it's good for the conference.

Well, to those that think you can feel something through the television (I particularly like this take), or yearn for outdoor football in December (had a bedridden father with pneumonia after one of those), I have bad news for you.

Indianapolis was relatively warm for all the fan festival activities that happened all weekend, which meant the city was jumping with fans and tailgates. The stadium offers the option of an outdoor feel if there is no bad weather (it was raining at game time), and the game itself was fantastic. A win/win for the B10, it's fans, and participants. People who were here could not have been happier with the entire event. Couldn't keep track of all the excited comments from out of towners who fell in love with Indianapolis and the B10 Championship event.

Sorry, guess you had to be here...

I can see both sides. Now, Lucas does have a retractable roof, right? So,they could have had it outside? The way the game went,it was an offensive show, and that might not happen if the roof was open,or it was played at Soldier Field. It was a very nice nite here in Chicago Saturday,so it would have been fine to play it at Soldier Field, which is my first choice. I would also consider a home date for the team with the best record,to juice it up and give huge incentive to teams like MSU in that last game vs NW.

It was a great game. The OP did not watch it because it was inside? If you like football at all, you like that game. I presume the OP never watched an Iowa-Minny game in the metrodome? Missed some good ones up there also.

The Big Ten title game was an astounding success, and it set the standard for all conference title games to follow. No other conference title game even came within a 100 miles for entertainment and drama. Big Ten wins the weekend by a 1000 miles!

I watched the game and found it to be very entertaining but I still want to see it outdoors, preferably in Chicago. I am not a big fan of putting the game at the team with the best record either, there is only so much to see in Columbus.
