The longer this day goes on, the worse my hangover has gotten and thinking about the egg we laid last night doesnt help one bit.

I thought I was over it (the loss) but really am not and I still can't believe how awful that game was. Has to be one of the least exciting, poorly executed games during this year's bowl season.

Man, we suck.

Here's to a better Hawkeye 2012!

Maybe we can actually get ranked again!

Iowa didn't lay an egg. Sure they could have played better on offense but people forget that Oklahoma still has a pretty good D. And it was a 21-14 game with 6 minutes left. If Iowa would have gotten a stop on that OU drive that ended in a FG who knows what would have happened.

Laying an egg is getting blown out and you aren't in a position to win the game at the end. Iowa was in a position to win the game last night with 4 minutes left but couldn't get a stop and OU kicked the FG to basically end it.

Wow! You aren't usually so optimistic and upbeat, scott. Congrats on the new 'tude, brah. :)
 


I didn't even think Oky played that well Iowa had numerous opportunities to capitalize and we were constantly made mental errors and to many indecisions. It was almost like most of the offense had forgotten their plays. That layoff from the last regular season game to the bowl game just killed us this year and the whole Coker thing set us back as well. Last week one of our local sports jocks said that both Stoops and KF just want to play the game and get it over with. It sure seemed like it last night.
 


The sports jocks are pretty well informed and insightful.

They have covered all kinds of sporty things, and everything bugging them, and their best caller, and all that sporty stuff. They are all about the sports

Iowa was not in a position to win that game.

This made me laugh, and I have no idea why.
 


I thought our defense played well enough to win.

The problem was with the inconsistent offense and at times with the special teams.

Ferentz and Company needs to do a better job getting younger, inexperienced players more playing time during the regular season to help develop some depth. Can't help but wonder what a difference it would have made at QB if Vandenberg had gotten some meaningful snaps in 2010, especially on the road.
 




I had a long sobering drive home, no barfing for me although I might have got bed bugs from that damn motel!! My crabs are killing them tho!

Laid an egg ; how do u figure that ? Granted we lost but it was far from a blowout. You're the typical bandwagon fan who doesn't have a clue . Go sober up !

In my experience a crab cannot kill a bedbug; it is usually a stalemate.
However, a louse can kill a crab.:eek:
