...for all you coaching experts who have never coached a day in your lives and probably never played beyond freshman football. Next time a position opens on the Hawkeye's staff put in your application. Just paste all your insightful posts on your resume. I am sure you will get hired. Iowa won the game. Yes there were mistakes. But none of you are at practice every day to be making suggestions as to who should be playing and what plays should be run. You guys are so negative you can't even enjoy a win over our biggest rival.
I don't know what's more annoying, posters who whine after the team wins or posters who whine about people who whine after the team wins.[/QUOTE
Not whining here. Stating the fact that I am tired of all the negativism on this board by supposed Hawkeye fans. Babies whine, puppies whine, I am telling it like it is. Sorry you don't like it. Not really sorry.
Yawn
I have viewed posts on here for several years and finally decided to join and post my thoughts also. I too can be critical of coaches and players. Before this game everyone was ranting that we better win. Then we win and they still are criticizing because this play wasn't called and this player didn't play. I just get tired of the negativity just for the sake of negativity. And by the way I am also a Philly fan, so I know all about fan negativity.
Sorry, but Iowa State is not our biggest rival. If they are, our program has seriously fallen.
Next time you want to post a thread, don't. Yeah, we barely beat a really bad ISU team and got toasted on special teams again. Clearly beating a team that lost to UNI and will have to beat KU to not go winless means KF and staff are earning their keep. Posts like yours remind me why the Cubs still sell tickets when they are 800 games out. Trust me, the 27 points we scored will be the fewest points ISU gives up the rest of the year. You go ahead and book your Rose Bowl tickets champ.
First I will post again, second if we were to use your logic then Michigan fans should give up on their team since they barely beat Akron. And I never said Iowa was going to the Rose Bowl CHAMP.

Give me a break. The only thing I had to say about coaching for this game was how they went soft on defense to give up big yards and quick scores. For 40 years I have seen more prevent defenses allow teams to come back an snatch victory from defeat.
When you are ahead 27-7 and have dominated the other teams offense you have a three score cushion to work with. Stay with pressure and close coverage making it really hard for Richardson to complete a pass.
If for some reason they complete a drive and it takes a couple minutes you still have a 2 score cushion but what will more likely happen is you will snuff the drive has you have been for 55 minutes.
