The problem is that people don't read well. I never ever said using a DVR is brainless. I said that the notion that if you do not like the start time to just DVR it and watch later and hope that you don't hear the score on the radio, tv, or from a friend or family member is stupid. People watch sporting events live, period. It's a fact. How many people are going to DVR the Super Bowl and watch it later? Hardly anyone. Not exactly apples to apples there, but you get my point. I still watch all the games, I just don't like the start times and I'm not alone as you can see in this thread. If Iowa were good, I doubt many of you would DVR the games, you would make it a point to watch live, or you would listen on the radio or follow along online.

Gotta agree 100% with Bud here. DVR'ing games is not a good option for fans that would rather not wait to know the outcome of a game (probably 95% of all fans). It works when you have a lot going on but far from ideal.
The BTN could have easily avoided this whole mess by putting the game on Saturday and that is the point many of us are trying to make.

I think another thing that played into the time slot was Nile Kinnick's Big 10 Icons was on right after the Iowa/IU basketball game ended.

Totally. Using a DVR properly is an artform with a little scientific aspect as well, especially if you only have 1 DVR.
