I guess I found a good thing that came out of the UM game

The players are ticked off, the coach is angry, no one is happy.

They aren't taking it lightly. Some teams/coaches would lay down after this one.

With the last second win by Illinois and this loss by Iowa, I see the Hawkeyes beating the Illini.

This Iowa bunch was flat out embarrassed and they are going to come out mad next game.

Reminded me a lot of the BTT last year. Iowa was playing really well and just got destroyed by Michigan.

This Illinois game will tell me a lot about this current Coaching staff and Team.

They are showing replays on the BTN and they showed Lickliters press conference comments again. He was in absolute pain and it was clear he wanted no part of being in that press room. I will be honest I've never seen a coach so emotionally drained.

The pressure is clearly showing. Lickliter and his Staff is feeling it Big Time. I can't wait to see how they come out Weds Night.

Yeah, I mentioned that in the chat a couple times. And it's true. It looked exactly like that except Sims wasn't as good as he was in the BTT. However, the effort and energy and result was the same.

I think it was Rick Brown maybe in the postgame that noted the same thing to Lick. I can't confirm, just going off the voice I heard.

Coach seemed more depressed than angry, but he gives that vibe off a lot.

Will we get to see a repeat performance in 2 weeks when Michigan comes to iowa City? Lick has no answer for Sims and heaven forbid that he should change his defenses any to try to change things for Sims. Why change when it isn't working I say.

Michigan and Iowa both won on their home floor last year, and Iowa has looked a lot better the second time around when they've seen an opponenet. The 1st and 2nd games against MSU is a good example of that.

Everything was dropping for Michigan today, while Iowa couldn't buy a bucket even when they had good looks at it; everything went halfway or rolled around the rim and off.

Michigan isn't anywhere near as good as they looked today, and Iowa isn't that bad. I would look for a different result when Michigan comes to Carver.

He was pretty ticked at Payne for jacking another one of those halfcourt threes. that shot killed an iowa run.

Until you saw the next possession.

Maybe Cully took a quick 3. Maybe it's not a good shot.

But Lick then calls a timeout..... and the possession out of the timeout Little Lick has to hoist up a ridiciolous one handed, sideways 3 to beat the shot clock.

So I thought to myself...... I'd rather have Cully's shot than that ridiciolous possession.

Pass the stuff man. I am rewatching the game and Michigan did anything but shoot the lights out of the ball. They have two players who are much more talented than anyone on Iowa's team and it really shows. This is why you can't live by the three point shot, eventually your legs go.

They're all mad. Eh, we'll see. Why not come out mad after blowing the OSU game rather than bowing out before the Michigan game even started?

Yeah, I saw that in the write up after the game. They out-rebounded Iowa and put back the misses. They missed 37 shots but got the rebound 19 times and put it in.
