I dream of the day we have something resembling this...

I only care about W's. Don't give a shart how loud it is.
Some gub'ment official or hyphenated name from the UI will decide it is dangerous and shut it down.:cool:

That's what you dream of? That's the **** in your life you really want to have happen? Weird.

No but as long as we're in the basketball forum I thought I would post something I would like to have happen regarding basketball. Would you like me to PM you a list of my dreams?

That was very cool. A great home court advantage and I can't really imagine a recruit showing up to a game, experiencing that, and turning us down.

Seriously? Loud crowd = better home court advantage = better chance for more W's. I'd rather have the atmosphere in Allen Fieldhouse compared to what we had in CHA during Lick's years as our coach.

True dat. Plus it looks good for recruits and is exciting to experience as a fan. These rubes haven't seen good Hawkeye basketball yet and have no idea what it can be.

Remember when Iowa beat them there? That was awesome.

That was pretty cool though.

I want to have a jumbotron that says "Beware the knitters" or something to that effect.

Franstheman,
I about jumped out of my chair and cheered for the Jayhawks after watching that. Good stuff. Thanks for posting. Those on here who think they're funny get a little old. A similar thing at Carver would be amazing. We don't have that kind of history, but we have some great history nonetheless. Ralph Miller's squad (before my time), Lute, Ronnie Lester, Steve Waite's 3 pt play vs. G'Town, Chris Street waving his arms at the top of the press, Mr. Davis, BJ, Kevin Gamble knocking down the big 3 vs OU, Big and Little Roy dunking on a split screen...

You sound old as ****. No wonder you don't have a sense of humor.

I may or may not have a sense of humor. I'd like to think so. I was 10 when Waite made possibly the biggest play in Hawkeye basketball history. After school see if mom and dad can help you with the math. I love the site as I love talking IA sports, especially hoops, but some of the other stuff I could do without. Go Hawks!
