Holiday
Cotton
Pinstripe
Peach

I like the Cotton and Holiday, but I'd prefer the Gator over the Peach and I don't even know what the pinstripe is. However, I agree the Cap One could go and everything at the Insight and below can go as well.

I should also mention that I think there are way to many bowl games. As it is now, the B10 should have:

BCS
Cap 1
Outback
Gator
Insight

So that 6-6 teams don't get in and with 4 7-5 teams you really need to deserve a bowl. Way to watered down and hurts the bowl system IMO.

I wish they would have kept the Alamo instead of getting the Gator. If the Big Ten is going to have 7 bowls (8 including BCS) here are the 7 I would like also in no particular order:

1) Outback
2) Cap One
3) Alamo
4) Cotton
5) Holiday
6) Chick-fil-A (used to be Peach)
7) Texas (keep this one so Illinois and Minnesota have a chance to go to a bowl game)

The Pinstripe Bowl is new, played at Yankee Stadium (which is the only logical reason as to why it appeals to Springsteen).

For selfish reasons, I'd love to see us add the Cotton bowl because I live in Dallas. For realistic reasons, I'd be interested in picking up the Cotton over the Outback/Gator since we have so many of our top bowls in Florida. Payout is pretty close (within 300k) and I believe the Cotton Bowl is has discussed an increase of their payout in the future to try and further enhance their status (this is just hearsay in Dallas, nothing I can point to). That, and the facilities are AWESOME and I'm not a huge fan of all our games being at the same time on New Years Day.

Other than the conference title, tie-ins, I say screw the rest of the tie-ins and just let the bowls and teams make the best deals possible. The way it use to be, but i'm an old fart.

I miss the Alamo... had a blast on the Riverwalk.

Can't get excited about the Gator bowl.

I like the Outback but been there too many times.

The stadium for the Cap. One is in a bad area.

I'd add these and ditch the Gator, give the Cap 1 an ultimatum on a new Stadium.

Holiday Bowl- Avg. high on Jan 1: 65
Alamo Bowl-Avg. high on Jan 1: 62
Cotton -Avg. High on Jan 1: 55

The Insight has its place. Cheap airfare, and alot of midwesterners.

The stadium for the Outback isn't in the best part of Tampa either. Plus the stadium for the Cap One bowl could be their eventual undoing. I don't think their plans to renovate the stadium are moving as quickly as they'd like. Good thing they have a huge payout or I'm not sure the B10 would be staying in that one.

You think you don't like our bowls? Check out the Big 12 bowls, las I saw it was almost comical. Of course, they suck so that explains a lot! :D
The bowls are not very impressive though.

The Big Ten's bowl lineup is as good as it gets.

If I were to suggest a few more to realistically have in place, the Holiday and Alamo would certainly be two.

The Cap One needs to upgrade their facility, but the power of the mouse is a nice getaway.

The cost for ppl traveling to Pinstripe Bowl would be pretty significant...and the weather would offer little to no reprieve over the midwest. No thanks

I was referring to the Big 12 bowls being not very impressive. I think our options are good. As bad as we've been, we still have some fairly decent bowls...better than we deserve. Can't complain much.
As I said, I live in Big 12 country and their options do not come close to ours.

seriously, you'd LIKE to play in the pinstripe bowl...........in new york and in the winter. While I respect your opinion I have every right to disagree with it and I sure do.

Not a big fan of the way the matchups are set.

Gator vs SEC
TicketCity vs Big XII/CUSA
Outback vs SEC
Cap One vs SEC
Texas vs Big XII
Insight vs Big XII
Little Ceasars vs MAC

So that's 3 Florida Bowls, 2 Texas Bowls, 1 in Michigan, and 1 in Arizona.

Matchups are 3 against the SEC, 1 against the MAC, 2 against the Big XII and one against either the Big XII or CUSA, but 0 games against the PAC 10, ACC, and Big Least. I would like to see the matchups spread around a bit and of course bring back the Alamo since it is close. Still think Austin should take over one of the bowls from some place like Shreveport.

Well its real simple -

NYC is the greatest city in the country.
It has a pretty big draw around that time with NYE
Yankee Stadium even the new one is a great venue

I would rather go to NYC than i would Detroit, Jacksonville and possibly Dallas and Houston.

NYC is NOT the greatest and certainly not a bowl destination city in the winter
It has a pretty good draw around that time FOR NYE
Yankee Stadium even the new one is a great BASEBALL venue, not bowl venue
