SA wasn't the one who ruined iowa BB but some people can't get that through their thick skulls, just because they didn't like him even if they never met him. The one who ruined Iowa basketball is Lick.

Actually, it was a collective effort that includes: coaches, apathy among fans, empty promises from administration that dates back to 1999.

Let's face it, Alford and Lickliter struggles but we as fans quit on our program. Indiana fans fill Assembly Hall through the worst; you have to admire that. And with all the difficulty Steve and Todd had with recruiting, they both begged from day one for the university to build a practice facility. Our program fell way behind in that regard and we are suffering because of it today. So please don't point fingers because all three phases are to blame for this mess.

This is an excellent post and very ture. As fans we (not all of us) began to quit on Mr. Davis and things spiralled out of control from there and we have continiously compounded that problem.

The good news is that things are looking better. The team looked better last year than the previous 2 years. The crowd began to come back and fans seem united again (as long as we stay off of this still very painfull subject).
