I went back and watched highlights and film of the teams from the mid 2000s.
Goodness. Kinnick Stadium was rocking, we were ranked and gave the opponents "6 Seconds of Hell" on Defense. Hit them hard, knocked them out. Relentless.
On Offense we were explosive, fun, creative (Seriously, yeah.) and fast.
Not to mention, Kirk looked like he was having a blast!
(Excuse my language here) but MAN, that was F'ING fun. It seems so far away, but it's really not. And now, the future looks so bleak. We don't have our Adrian Clayborn, our Ricky Stanzi, our Tyler Sash, Karl Klug..
Man, when you think about it.. we were blessed that era. We had some SOLID and FUN teams. So much fire and energy in Kinnick Stadium and it oozed out our players.
Don't mind me now, as I shed a tear of frustration and broken heartedness.
