I can hardly wait for the new coach to be named and watch the fans

ooze platitudes and vow fealty -- then with the first loss next year start the questions. Can he coach -- can he recruit -- can he smooze the big contributors?

Then stage II -- it starts with a whisper and someone on the fringe begins calling for his head.

Stage III -- critical mass for the 'outrage' is reached in the fanbase.

Stage III a- Mods of the different boards and other media types begin to 'express their opinions' and pine for the days of Lute Olson.

Stage IV -- Barta caves in and fires another good man. Showing that the fella in Ames has bigger cajones (again).

How long this time? Only took 3 years -- does it happen faster this time?

I like posts like this calling out fans who are upset. 3 of the worst seasons in Iowa basketball and several player transfers = fans having a right to be upset

I have no doubt the new coach will get a very fair chance

ISU, Creighton, UNI... who's your horse? Sniping flamer...

To the OP - I think that most people understand that this hire HAS to right and Iowa HAS to stick with him whoever he is. To not do so would make the men's BB program absolutely toxic.
